In celebration of the Summer Solstice, Soultry Sisters presents the annual

Summer SOULstice Arts + Wellness Festival—a three-day immersive experience

uplifting BIPOC, women, and queer artists, wellness practitioners,

and culture bearers across San Diego.

Rooted in cultural heritage, community resilience, and holistic healing,

the festival highlights our local creative ecosystem while encouraging self-expression, skill-building, and exploration of healing practices rooted in diverse cultural traditions.

Centering art as a powerful tool for wellness, collective care, and Radical Re-Imagining, the festival invites community to gather, learn, and heal together.

Alyssa and Toni Junious are Afro-Filipina, queer, Oceanside-based creatives, community builders, co-founders of Soultry Sisters, and curators of the annual Summer SOULstice Arts + Wellness Festival. In 2019, the sisters founded Soultry Sisters to empower women and queer communities of color through accessible arts and wellness experiences rooted in creativity, healing, and community care.

Together, they collaborate with local artists, entrepreneurs, and community organizations to uplift QTBIPOC voices and expand access to holistic wellness resources. In celebration of the Summer Solstice, they curate the Summer SOULstice Arts + Wellness Festival—a three-day immersive experience featuring BIPOC, women, and queer artists, wellness practitioners, and culture bearers from across San Diego.

More than a festival, Summer SOULstice serves as a community reunion—a space to reconnect, reflect, and gather around an annual theme that inspires collective healing, creativity, and belonging.

This year’s theme, Radical Re-Imagining, invites artists to share their processes of cultivating personal power and collective memory. Marking its fifth year, this year’s festival is especially meaningful as it is funded by the Oceanside Cultural Arts District, allowing the sisters to fully host the festival in their hometown of Oceanside, California.

Guest Artists

Our festival features San Diego based QTBIPOC artists, wellness advocates, and healers who inspire the work we do here at Soultry Sisters. They lead
arts and wellness workshops, performances, and art installations centered around creative expression, collective healing, and mindful movement.
This year we are asking each guest artist to create a workshop or performance in response to our
festival theme, Radical Re-Imagining!
Pictured above are some of the amazing artists who are a part of our 2026 Summer Soulstice Festival.
